We have an opening for a Human Resources consultant.  Our ideal candidate is passionate about all things HR, and brings a professional, solution-oriented approach to the development, implementation, and management of Human Resources’ programs, policies, and best practices in small- to medium-size companies.

Focus of the Position

 

HR Choice consultants offer a blend of strategic and tactical client support, which may include on-call/on-site HR support, with a focus on the following:

  • Compliance audits and workplace assessments

  • Hiring practices that support clients with the sourcing, interview, hire and onboarding of talented new hires.

  • Employee Relations, including handbook policies and practices, issue resolution, compliance/EEO, employee communications, performance evaluations, rewards and recognition, separations, downsizing, and business partnerships.

  • Compensation philosophy and equity, job descriptions, job classifications, salary ranges, benefits.

  • Employee and leadership training and development

  • Diversity, equality, and inclusion initiatives

  • Organizational assessment and design

  • HR Administration and metrics

 

 

Education and Experience

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • A 4-year college degree in HR Management, Business, or Organizational Development

  • 5+ years of directly related HR experience supporting business operations and/or administration

  • Three or more years of successfully leading teams and individuals 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • PHR/SPHR Certification

  • 8+ years of directly related HR experience, supporting business operations and/or administration.

  • HR supervisory or business management experience

  • Proven experience as business consultant or equivalent experience

In addition to possessing advanced human resources and business knowledge and experience, our successful HR consultants possess several key competencies:

  • Compliance: Highly proficient in application of employment laws and regulations 

  • Client services: Skilled in building high integrity client relationships based on confidence and trust; clear communication of services, deliverables and timelines

  • Problem solving: Provide recommendations for services that help solve the issues or improve current programs and processes

  • Self-confidence: Ability to impart wisdom and know-how to others.

  • Complexity: Ability to explain and resolve complex issues and concepts in a simplified manner that involve and gain commitment from stakeholders.

  • Cultivate new revenues: Meet current client needs and propose new services.

  • Improvise and innovate: Respond to evolving needs; foresee and implement multiple solutions

  • Excellent listening skills: Actively listen to client needs to implement solutions that address their specific needs

  • Self-motived: Work independently with limited direction

  • Business Acumen: Knowledge of IT, Marketing, Sales, Strategic Planning, etc.

  • Proficiency in MS Office & Software, including Office 365; familiarity with wide selection of business management software (CRM, ATS etc.) and databases.

 

Work Environment

 

Consultant must be flexible and able to work at a variety of Denver area client work sites and from home office and attend HR Choice virtual team meetings. Consultant works with a supportive team of smart, progressive, and dedicated HR professionals.

 

Essential Job Functions

 

  • Requires ability to work for extended periods of time at a computer.

  • Requires the ability to speak, read, write, see, and hear to perform essential duties of the job, be able to communicate clearly, and travel to different client sites.

 

Compensation 

 

This is a 1099, Independent Contractor position. The Consultant pay rate is $45-$55 per hour (varies by client, project, and complexity of work)
